Is this some sort of moe sandbagging or something? Hold back on some of the niche appeals, grab a person’s heart through genuine character development, and then, bam! Megane in the closing episodes of the show. Who do I have to thank for this idea?

There’s this Asian (not sure which ethnicity exactly, but it could be a South-East Asian thing) saying that connects a new haircut or look with finding someone new/moving on… but I digress.
You could probably relate this megane switch-and-bait to that, although what exactly makes it the trigger for each girl is hard to trace. An “I’m finally honest with myself” feeling, I guess?
Or perhaps, glasses are just moe like that.
Yeah, girl wearing glasses are hawt. >D
