And that’s that. Welcome to 2008, everyone.

Now before I pass out and take a break from blogging for a few days (or just go light on the posting), it’s time to talk a walk on the meta side and have a little reflection on the blogging part of the ‘anime blogging’ concept now.

Through 150+ entries and nine months, my posting schedule and content has changed a few times to settle on the plan of posts every other day, about anything and everything, as long as I can rant about it at sufficient length.

I’m self-centered and so I blog about whatever the heck I want - which usually entails a lot of complex deconstructing of simple shows - but I’m curious as to what the people on the other side of the glass think.

What features did you enjoy this year? What would you want to see more of? Less of? Please do note that I’m referring mainly to things that went on this year - I, too, think it would be something fresh and new to drop everything and start writing yaoi dango lemons, or something equally non-sequitor, but chances are that visual novel shows are going to remain the forte of this blog for times to come.

How are the non-post aspects of the blog? Is the layout too blue? Too wordy? Too Blogger?

Any other thoughts? Don’t feel obligated to answer this like a questionnaire - answer what you feel about the most. If you want to spend your comment criticizing my irrational Nagato fandom, so be it.

(But don’t be surprised if you see men in black suits at your door the next day.)

All input is appreciated, and I hope that both I, the writer, and you, the readers, can continue to enjoy your time spent at Eternity for many…eternities to come.

-CCY

Here’s some of my feedbacks and opinions on the layout and design of your blog :)

    1. I think it would be more user-friendly if you could make your banner clickable and link it to your index page. I sometimes find it difficult to get back there after clicking on a post.

    2. The light blue background is a bit bright and sometimes distracting. I think a duller/darker blue would be better.

As for the posts themselves, I think you’re doing great as you are right now especially your analysis. They are very entertaining and easy to read. I also often find that we share pretty similar views :D

You have a great mix of contents and there really aren’t any specific types of posts I’d like to see or less of.

Analysing simple shows is much more interesting than analysing complex shows which invite analysis. Barthes is with you. Keep it up.

Though if you ever do experiment with yaoi dango lemons, I’m sure it would be interesting.

Anonymous: Assuming that you’re not just a random advertiser, could we have a link? I can’t Google up anything relevant.

Nekonron: I’d agree with you on points 1 and 2 (good to see that you’re reading more than one post at a time! XD), I’ll keep those in mind when I revamp my blog, but to be honest, I’m holding out for a move to WordPress / AnimeBlogger. But for that, sure.

And for you and IKnight: Glad you’re enjoying the posts, although I suppose you wouldn’t be here if you didn’t.

Note to self: Do not go MIA when CCYoshi is posting every single day in a row.

That your backlog of posts that I burned through was the hardest to digest at once, in all of the 170-odd posts I accumulated while dying midway through Christmas, is definitely something. I had no idea you could do quality AND quantity, and I am humbled. OTL

That aside, wow. We’ve been blogging for almost the same time and I’ve only reached 100+ posts recently. Congratulations! Looks like I’ve got some catching up to do.

Your blog’s pretty much great the way it is, I’d just suggest moving to Wordpress for accessibility reasons, since it’s a pain in the ass to access your old posts assuming I wanted to read them. Of course, I wholeheartedly recommend Ikimashou.net if you’re looking for free Wordpress hosting. (:

All in all, I’ve had a great time reading your blog, so here’s to many more years of long-winded fanboy rambling, and Happy New Year to you too!

Owen: I’ve been considering WordPress for a while, to be honest. Didn’t know Ikimashou offered free hosting, though, so thanks for the heads up on that. If Animeblogger never gets back to me, I might consider that.

(Random side note: Your emoticons are backwards, is this one of those other-side-of-the-world things? :P)

I’d recommend against you getting an account on Animeblogger, but only because of their occasional downtime, which can be annoying, and several restrictions placed by the owner with regards to plugins and whatnot.

On the other hand, Ikimashou is free in every sense and fuss-free. I also have a habit of inverting my (: emote, but only because I think it looks better that way.
