Shuffle! 15 – Saving Loli Rimu

*dramatic hand pose*

Ready to be rocked like a – wait, what do you mean I already used that intro?

Alright, so Shuffle! episode 15 doesn’t contain any revolutionary plot twists, but there has been a lot of buildup to it over the last 4 or 5 episodes. Primula’s been taken hostage sent back to the demon realm due to her increasing sickness – which, speaking of, does bear a strange resemblance to the events in the arc of Kanon that is currently being blogged as well.

But, Rin and harem aren’t going to take it anymore! They simply cannot live without the token loli and the fifth harem member – as quiet as she way, I suppose Rimu was always there, and without her the entire group is toppling over; since every one of the girls has some connection to Rimu.

Trust me. 6 degrees to Primula, or less.

Let’s get this recap rolling however…the episode starts off with no intro. This episode is serious business. And not like the internet is serious business. Italics serious business.

After the jump, non-spoilery (unless you haven’t watched this episode for some inane reason) recaps ensue. Showtime!

Kanon 8 – Changing of the (plot) guards

Ready to be rocked like a hurricane?

Makoto’s story kicks into full gear in episode 8, and we get the full introduction of her supporting character, Mishio Amano. What she has in store for Yuuichi is unlike anything you’re seen so far…

No, Mai in the school in night is not revolutionary and WTF worthy. Yet. This revelation, is.

Predictable? Not up to this point. But from here on out you know what’s going to happen, pretty much. But, as always, they do live, as Amano says, within a fleeting miracle…

Makoto’s going to be OK. It’s an anime. They have happy endings.
Makoto’s going down. It’s an anime. They want to make you cry.
Love.
Hate.
Life.
Death.

(Emo style writing.
Overused gags.)

Which is it?

Or maybe, a third option?

Well, if you haven’t watched the rest of the series (and I can’t imagine why – Kanon’s beginning to get a little ‘old’ by now, finishing 3 months ago. I’m probably the last of the bloggers), this is where you can go leave, and find out.

For the rest of you, carry on through rain, sleet, and intense spoilers (for pretty much all of Kanon) after the jump. Onward!

Shuffle! 14 – when arcs collide

(bonus points if you thought Arcueid.)

The plot’s in full gear for Shuffle!, as we get some interesting revelations about Nerine and her strange connection to Primula…

It seems that Nerine and Primula’s arcs are connected and, with them moving things to conclusion pretty much next episode – rather quick, isn’t it? – that we’ll have plenty of time for the Kaede and Asa arcs, with a little bit of overlap.

But then again, hey, I’ve already finished the series, I should know. I think the pacing was OK overall for the arcs, although I felt that Nerine was a bit shafted in terms of screentime. But, this isn’t Kanon 2002 by any means, where half the episodes were spent on the first girl.

Anyway, spoilers, recaps, whatevers, after the jump, but this recap is safe for those who have watched up to 14 (logically). Go!

Kanon 7 + Piro (cat) + Yuki (references) + plot = MegaKanon

You got your plot in my Makoto!

You got your Makoto in my plot!

Kanon 7: more plot, less words. The foreshadowing and the plot starts now, so if you’re currently watching Kanon, break out the tissues. But keep your pants zipped up, for the love of God Haruhi whatever.

This episode deals largely in neko, with a mysterious cat introduced that will become central to the plot and the Minase household. OK, maybe more the latter than the former, but still, you can’t just pass it off.

Extreme plot spoilers for the entire series if you continue past the jump, so, uh, be forewarned or something.
