Mega Megane Moé
Hell and Heaven Moéltdown

Welcome your new Key (Tactics) visual novel overlords. Do it.
So yeah, the English patch for one of first (big?) visual novels released by the famous producers of AIR and Kanon was released earlier this month here.
ONE has always been one of those blank spots in many Key fans’ histories mainly because there was no anime or major translation previously produced for it outside of what I’ve been told is a very shoddy OVA (one hentai, one non-hentai) produced a few years ago. Now it’s time to figure out all those strange characters that you may only be acquainted with through doujin games like Eternal Fighter Zero (another excellent 2D fighter featuring Key characters).
So, uh, yeah, get to it if that’s your thing. Eternal gratitude to the producers of the patch, and looking forward to a good read.

After playing one too many rounds of the 1999 arcade game Golgo 13, the idea was simply irresistable to me, especially since I was looking for a quick and easy game idea to code into existence.
(Download Cirno 9 – The Strongest – Vista-compatible version here)
As usual, said idea was neither quick nor easy but it [...]

A comparatively peaceful and relaxing weekend…
Just some random notes on Fanime 2008. Inside, a look over on some of the cosplays (although, no pictures yet), the dealer’s room, my elitist side at Fanime, some random games, and the video rooms.
I wonder if writing a blunt, short, dull preview while mentally dead will help drive more [...]

Code-E was the sleeper show of the summer season last year, a slice-of-life romance which felt a lot like what ARIA would be if it had some semblance of plot. That is, it was a warm and relaxing show, with a very calm pace to it, but every now and again it would kick into [...]

Matsuri, YOU’RE WINNER!
Yeah, it’s so shocking it’s worth stealing and reposting from Danny Choo’s barely five-minute-old post. I happen to get on the internet at just the right time, I suppose.
Anyways, according to Danny Choo the results from about 2 million Japanese ballots are in, and everyone’s favorite tomato-juice-drinking, sky-photographing show apparently grabbed the top [...]

For a while it was up in the air between the previous news (broken in the preview for the Novemeber issue of Japanese magazine Tougeki Damashii) of a possible sequel to the hit 2D fighter and the consequent removal of the title from the preview page, but now it’s confirmed:
Hot meido-on-unlucky-osananajimi action is back, baby.
OK, [...]

That’s right. Not version B2 (the PC version of Act Cadenza), but supposedly a full-fledged sequel.
According to the preview of Tougeki Damashii’s (a Japanese magazine devoted to fighting games) October 31 issue, there’s going to be some news on this mysterious sequel-sounding game in just a few weeks.
Commence hyperventilating until then.
If you’re not familiar with [...]

Just a short newspost for today, since it’s something I heard of off the AnimeSuki forums and haven’t seen much news about recently (maybe since it’s originally two months old, anyway, but right now is prime time for Lucky Star).
Short story shorter, the Lucky Star bandwagon marches on as the manga and quite popular anime [...]

The anime community and the Dance Dance Revolution community aren’t horribly far apart. With both things being mostly Asian fads given strange looks by most Americans, it’s not suprising that a large amount of anime fans enjoy DDR as well.
DDR as one might surmise is mildly lacking in official anime songs; while they feature enough [...]
Again another raving post about the visual novel sequel-like-substance to Tsukihime, named Kagetsu Tohya. In case you completely missing the rabid fanboying yesterday KT is a sort of Groundhog-Day like game in which the protagonist Shiki Tohno repeats the same day…over…and…over. But unlike other visual novels where the only choice reads something like
“1) Have sex [...]

Kagetsu Tohya is the essential sequel-ish thing to popular Type-Moon visual novel Tsukihime, and the English patch was just released for it recently. Here’s a download link.
Well, that’s all I need to write, as you have already stopped reading because 1) you don’t care or 2) you have just dashed off at light speed to [...]
