I believe it's terrific that MangaGamer is doing this, but I agree with you, the approach should stay that same. I would much rather have a boxed copy with all the stuff with it than just a simple download, especially for such a price. Was looking to buy "Shuffle!", but now I would rather not because all you get is a download for $53 USD; no real-world material whatsoever.

Oh, man a code would be nice, but t seems I already missed out, so whatever.

More to the point of what was said, I agree that Manga Gamer is finally stepping out and doing a damn good job at bringing the Visual Novel world of Japan over here. I mean, I'm learning Kanji, sure. But that stuff is hard!

Back then, I was pretty remorseless in my procurement of VN's/Eroge, but now that a company is actually localizing some really good games within an acceptable period of time - and that they MAY end up like Hirameki - I don't think I can take this and not care anymore. A lot of the non-Japanese fanbase of VN's and such have often had low hopes for commercial success of these, but I think that those who continue to hope in the future of the viability of these games and have the capacity to support them (not me), by all means, ought to.
