I watch and delete now. I suppose I'll give the show another go. I agree, the premise seems interesting, and the show definitely doesn’t take itself seriously, but I only made it to somewhere around the fourth episode, some many years ago.

I think part of its greatness is that it doesn't take itself too seriously and acknowledges its limitations - for example, they deliberately make the recurring theme wherein a different man each episode monologues about lolis as obvious as possible, as a joke about the use of looped recurring themes in low-budget anime.
