“Gah, what am I going to write for the blog post today?”

And if you didn’t ever think that while groggy at six in the morning, congrats! There’s hope for you yet. Or, alternatively, shame on you for not being as devoted to piling another editorial, episode post, or way-out-dated-by-now reference to that one post by Bateszi onto the heap of anime blog posts.

In any case, time is short and I’m saving my ammo for a more content-filled post than a half-baked summareview (yes, I’m still in training in the art of word-make-up-majig-ing) on some year-old show that is still remarkably good, and, if I could make myself believe it, vaguely overlooked, or at least underblogged, so as a result it’s going to be an imagepost instead, with about 30 images, replete with “I’m trying to hit a deadline” funny commentary, culled from my four core imageboards, Danbooru (when I feel confident enough that I blocked all the dirty tags), and that one awesome guy on AnimeSuki who always posts like a million images in the image threads, so, thanks to them, and hope you find some new images in this post.

Incidentally, I meant to put a period somewhere in that above paragraph, but decided not to on the first chance, changed my mind on the second, and decided to stretch out the joke like a bad British comedy subsequently. I suppose it should be noted that I am not at all waiting for my images to upload on Imageshack while typing this out. Is this is an experiment with dry wit as a post-style, mixed with a bit of pseudo-live-blogging? I suppose. I would like to be more witty, more often, but there’s never time in the posts.

(Yeah, 56K, it hurts, don’t do it.)

Protip: Even if you don’t believe in popularity contests, the Megatokyo Grand Prix is still a fine place to collect lots of random character artwork.

Wai for Mai~! I wish I had trademarked that back when Kanon was still running. This is a really touching piece of artwork, personally.

Everything can be made better in chibi, especially if you don’t know what all the kanji or even the romanized Japanese says. One day, that’s going to bite me in the shiny metal ass.

Funnily enough, I’ve never been a rabid shipper for Kyon-x-whoever, despite the fact that he has two – OK, three – OK, four – maybe five – ah, six girls (Haruhi, Mikuru, Yuki, and if you want to get crazy, Tsuruya, Ryoko, and Emiri), one imouto, and Fabulous Itsuki who could potentially be considered candidates for him. As such, I can indulge in this sweet fanart without it setting off any “MAIN CHARACTER WINS” alarms. Maybe this is just a result of me being too selfish with Nagato. Kyon, even your sarcastic self is not worthy~

I’m sure this is a reference to something (It says Hellsing in the background?), but who cares. It’s Mai packing heat and Sayuri with glasses and a cigar.

Personally, I would have paired Kohaku up with someone like Akiko, for max “I’m gonna kill your family – and you’re not even going to know about it!” factor. I mean, c’mon, you know the legend of the jam.

The faces are a bit off here, but it’s a proven fact that I am a sucker for 1) cute girls and 2) guitars, mainly because I am horrible at playing both.

Me being me, I should really know which school outfit this is; it looks like the canon one, but the skirt on that one is blue. Am I registered on Megan’s List yet? (Incidentally, this art reminds me that I’ve been reading School Rumble recently. Nice, simple romantic comedy, me likes.)

Oh, and I’ve been beginning to pick up the Melty Blood manga too, after playing the game for half a year (and still sucking~). I can’t play Sion at all, but I like her story, because, y’know, pathetic otaku appeal with “oh noes what is this emotion it can’t be love oh no”. Also, books.

Well, first it was Yuki, and Ryoko, and then I realize all of the Data Entities were really awesome in their own way. Emiri gets her right to fame because of her Hare Hare Yukai remix and green hair.

Jaguar XJR-9, Le Mans Prototype, burns up the rear tires like they’re butter. Who needs Ryoko? Maybe I should corner the racing reference market like Jason corners sports.

feeling blue, thinking of you
i was a fool to let you walk away

Oh, sorry. See, H-stuff can have good artwork! If it wasn’t for the “18″ in the bottom right, I never would have guessed; it’s really beautiful. Maybe the stuff inside isn’t too bad either, but I don’t plan on hazarding a guess.

Is the cover of that blurred out, or is it just me? Also, insert metaphor about Yuki having something in the palm of her hand.

Run. Run far away. Far far away. Although, for a Data Entity, I feel like this would be a downgrade in power.

Hurry along, Sacchin, Yoshida will be back for her pole any minute now.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t official art, but it still looks incredibly good. Do note how many pictures it’s taken me to run out of cool things to say for Nagato.

Uguu~ wait, what? IMOUTO PARADOX. Compute this one; tsundere Ayu? Spacey Akiha?

This one’ s just cool. Where’s our anime heroine battle royale? We’ll call the Data Entities, the Tsukihime girls, every magical girl and yandere ever, a few other fighting girls, and throw Sunohara in the middle of it all.

Wait, I had another one? I had another one. Can’t wait for Alternate Nagato in Haruhi S2.

If Haruhi is Potemayo, who’s Guchuko? Probably Ryoko or something. Honi honi honi OSHI~

This is notable because now I finally have Zetsubou Sensei fanart, and also because I’m sure the text displayed to the right of this would only amp up the fetish level higher. Nekomimi meganekko schoolgirl vague-DFC school-mizugi uh…um…c’mon, is that the best you can do?

Likewise, I’m sure if I could read Japanese I would hate Meru a lot too, but I find her one of the most entertaining characters in SZS in both the cute and shy way and the phone-troll way.

I still can’t figure out who’s the fan favorite for Shuffle. Ending spoilers: Show ▼

I’d probably toss it up between Asa and Kaede, but it’s pretty evenly spread, rare even for a harem show. I still vote Sia.

Another good-looking 18+ doujin cover? Impressive. I like the background especially.

It’s rare to see Ayu in a pensive state like this, which is what makes this art particularly affecting. Also, I must note that of the five hours of songs in my playlist, Last Regrets picked now to come up. Good job, fate.

No, I don’t know either.

Smiling megane-less meido Nagato doesn’t really fit at all, but for some reason I always picture her here as Wilhelmina. Although, if she already doesn’t talk a lot, how is her funny headpiece thing going to be more terse than her?

I had another one? Seriously? This shows what kind of fanboy I am (although there is a strong lack of the other fandom, Shiori, here). Funnily enough, I think this post is longer than what it would have been if I half-assed it. Good job, me, you’re half-assed at half-assing.
