(but I find it a pretty cool place in the otakuspherealike, and you should check it out)
drm can be a fiery soul, with lots of flame and screaming, but a closer look
reveals how this flame is just a flame of passion, as he writes with a sort of no-holds-barred,
maniac enthusiasm.

I thought it worked well. It was a reflection of this whole phenomenon and the way the Internet is taking it: reacting emotionally without bothering to look beneath the surface or see any merit in doing so (along with all the other staples, like proclaiming anyone with an opposite point of view to be fanboys/idiots; some of the comments and their tone were completely uncalled for, trolling or not). You had the “answer” posted in the comments within the hour anyway.
This whole thing has not exactly been Internet fandom’s brightest hour, and that has nothing to do with your “trolling”. It just goes to show that, given the proper stimuli, fandom turns into a bunch of angry, immature, whiny brats who abandon rational thought and turn against other fans as a way of justifying their feelings. As with your posts, I personally think the fan reaction is more shameful than anything the producers may have done.
I would never drive myself to throw my rage and smash my DVDs just because of a uncontrollable rage we were put upon the Endless Eight, but I have been a bit vocal about it which drove myself to write several blog posts, but without the radical stuff some fans would do (no offense).
But I hope they get themselves together when they adapt Disappearance… which won’t happen until another 3 years.
