I have a code I recieved from AX (check the back of those demo CDs) that expires at the end of August.
That’s in a week and I don’t think I’ll be convincing myself to buy two VNs any time soon (unless Higurashi is magically released for preorders which is unlikely), so if anyone else is more free-spending than I am, drop me a comment and I’ll send you the code.
MangaGamer offers English-translated visual novels for digital download (honestly, another reason I didn’t decide to use the code – I’m a collector-type myself that likes physical product). Their catalog includes:
* SHUFFLE!
* Da Capo
* Kirakira
* Suika A.S.
* And a bunch of trashy-sounding sex romps
All for a price which you may or may not consider reasonable. With the buy-one-get-one free, you can pick up SHUFFLE! and Da Capo for 50 euros total ($70, which is 35 bucks apiece). Or, SHUFFLE! and Kirakira for 37 euros total ($50, which is $25 apiece). For me, it’s a bit much, but it might not be too bad to finally see these games in English after all~
And uncensored (with full voice acting), if that’s your thing.

I have the same problem as you. ): I’d have more incentive to buy them if they came as a hardcopy as well…
Actually I think a couple of their games ARE censored, since there was an issue back about one of their games not being censored and people didn’t know. Since apparently some people buy it just because it’s uncensored xD I haven’t finished it yet but I think it maaay be Suika, and I know their Shuffle is still censored ):

Hmmm aren’t you converting in the wrong way? :p (35eu should be ~50$ and 50eu should be ~70$)
I also have a couple of them and don’t know if I’ll use them or not… (maybe at least for Shuffle! and don’t know yet for the 2nd one)

Yeah, I remember hearing about that, although I think that was censoring in the form of ‘removing scenes’ (over lolicon concerns if I remember correctly) rather than censoring in the form of ‘blurring genitals’. (EDIT: Nagisa below correctly points out that that controversy applied to a JAST game, not a MangaGamer one, so that point is moot) Although I guess people who expected uncensored versions don’t want to deal with either problem.

I probably made a writing mistake in writing one part in ‘combined price’ and one part in ‘individual price’
50 euros total = 70 dollars total / 2 visual novels = 35 dollars each
So it’s two perspectives, but the sentence makes it sound like one if you don’t read closely. I guess that’s my fault >.>
So I’ve fixed it to be more accurate.

Uh, that was JAST–not mangagamer. And the game was Family Project.
None of MangaGamers titles are censored, other than Suika, which keeps the mosiac because the original art does not exist.
